About
MCIT has been supporting Isle of Wight organisations with all things IT-related for over 20 years — helping charities, non-profits and small businesses keep their technology working without the cost or complexity of an in-house IT department.
All things IT, for organisations that don't have an IT department
Most of the charities, non-profits and small businesses we work with don't have (and don't need) a full-time IT specialist on staff. That's where we come in. Whether it's a network that needs sorting, a Microsoft 365 migration, a CCTV system that needs repairing, or simply not knowing who to call when something stops working — MCIT is the friendly, knowledgeable contact for all things IT.
We've built our reputation across the Island over two decades by turning up, explaining things in plain English, and fixing the problem — not by selling things you don't need.
How we work
- Local & Personal Based on the Isle of Wight, with a direct line to the person actually doing the work — not a call centre.
- Jargon-Free Advice We explain what's going on and what your options are, in plain English.
- Security & GDPR Aware Data security and GDPR good practice are built into how we work, not bolted on afterwards.
- On-Site or Remote Local visits across the Isle of Wight when you need hands-on help, or fast remote support when you don't.
Who we work with
Our focus is — and has long been — Isle of Wight charities, non-profits and small businesses. We understand the budget constraints and practical realities these organisations work within, and tailor our support and advice accordingly, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all enterprise package.
